Managerial Audits and Reviews

We have conducted, supervised and managed audits examining the effectiveness and efficiency of the investigative and administrative program activities in both the public and private sectors. In March 2007, as part of the Vance's Team, we conducted a top to bottom the review of Massachusett's Crime Lab and Medical Examiner's Office and provided recommendations for improvement.

Sensitive inquiries

We have conducted and adjudicated sensitive internal inquiries involving allegations of serious on-duty and off-duty misconduct on the part of personnel at all levels of a large organization which involved alleged violations of the organization's code of conduct, regulations and federal statute.  In the retail security industry, we will conduct sensitive internal investigations to manage loss prevention,  (75% of loss and shrinkage comes from internal theft), violence in the workplace issues and theft of intellectual property/trade secrets.

Litigation Support

As former law enforcement officers, our personnel are experienced and skilled in establishing the identity and whereabouts of witnesses who possess information relevant to your civil or criminal litigation.  We can locate, interview and take statements from prospective witnesses and serve subpoenas.  Our personnel have been trained in court testimony and many of them have served as expert witnesses.

Business Intelligence/Counterintelligence

In strategic partnership with CTC International Group www.ctcintl.com, TSD Security Consulting is now able to provide business intelligence capability to US Corporations worldwide. Examples of our capabilities include studies regarding intentions, plans and capabilities of a company in a particular industry and collection of information on projected production and sales trend on a specific product. We can also provide a fact-based assessments on which countries your competitor may be focusing for expansion or supply information on a competing bid for a contract your company is pursuing. Competitive Business Intelligence will enable your company to make wise business decisions and provide senior executives with timely and accurate information regarding the competitor's plans and intentions, while protecting your company's trade secrets.

Due Diligence and Background investigations

Whether you are looking to hire an employee, do business with an new firm, hire a stock broker, or marry someone you met through an online social networking site, you would be wise to verify who they really are, to avoid problems in the future and/or to protect your investment.

In pre-employment investigations, as an employer, you may be liable under the Negligent Hiring Doctrine if your employee’s actions result in violence against others on your premises and he/she has not been properly vetted before being hired.  We can work with your HR and Legal departments to ensure your personnel security process is sound and includes all steps from application to termination.
